Pepper Steak and Rice

Ingredients :

 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced

2 bell peppers, sliced (any color)

 1 onion, sliced

 2 cloves garlic, minced

 2 cups cooked rice

 2 tablespoons soy sauce

 1 tablespoon cornstarch

 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

 Salt and pepper to taste

Directions :

 1. Warm up the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.

 2. Add the sliced beef sirloin and sear it until browned, about 3 to 4 minutes. Take the beef out of the pan and set it aside for now.

 3. In the same pan, toss in the onion, bell peppers, and garlic. Sauté until the vegetables are tender and slightly caramelized, about 5 minutes.

 4. Return the cooked beef to the pan. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with just a bit of water, then stir it into the pan along with the soy sauce.

 5. Cook everything together for about 2 minutes, just until the sauce starts to thicken up nicely.

 6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

 7. Spoon the pepper steak over bowls of steamed rice and enjoy right away.
