There’s nothing quite like the comforting aroma of warm apples and cinnamon filling the kitchen. This easy Apple Crisp is made with tender, juicy apples topped with a golden, buttery oat crumble that becomes perfectly crisp as it bakes. It’s a simple, cozy dessert that’s perfect for fall, family gatherings, or whenever you’re craving something sweet and homemade. Serve it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra delicious treat!

Ingredients :

For the Apple Filling:

6 large apples, peeled and sliced

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Crisp Topping

1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats

3/4 cup all-purpose flour

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Directions :

Step 1: Prepare the Apples

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Peel, core, and slice the apples into even pieces.

Place them in a large bowl.

Add sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and vanilla.

Toss until evenly coated.

Transfer the apple mixture to the prepared baking dish.

Step 2: Make the Crumble Topping

In another bowl, combine:

Oats

Flour

Brown sugar

Cinnamon

Salt

Pour in the melted butter.

Mix until crumbly and evenly combined.

Step 3: Assemble

Sprinkle the topping evenly over the apples.

Cover the entire surface without pressing down.

The loose crumbs create the perfect crunchy topping.

Step 4: Bake

Bake for 40–50 minutes.

The topping should be golden brown and the apples should be bubbling around the edges.

If the topping browns too quickly, loosely cover with foil.

Step 5: Cool and Serve

Allow the crisp to cool for 10–15 minutes before serving.

This helps the filling thicken slightly.

Serve warm.
