Peanut Butter Bars

No-bake peanut butter creamy  bars are dense, rich and decadent. Made with just 5 simple ingredients, they are a delicious treat any time of year. No oven required.

I love baking with peanut butter, but what about no peanut butter baking? No-bake creamy peanut butter bars combine the tantalizing flavor combination we all love: creamy  and peanut butter. In this simple dessert, velvety creamy  sits atop a thick layer of peanut butter. The peanut butter layer tastes very much like the center of Reese's Peanut Butter Cup candy.

INGREDIENTS:

     • 1/2 C. creamy peanut butter

     • 1 stick butter or margarine

     • 1 1/2 C. white sugar

     • 1 C. self rising flour

     • 1 T. vanilla extract

     • 2 large eggs

  Frosting:

     • 1 1/2 C. confectioners sugar

     • 2 T. creamy peanut butter

     • 1 tsp. vanilla

     • 2 T. milk

INSTRUCTIONS:

Put the peanut butter and butter in a saucepan over low heat to melt, do not let it boil, just warm and melt. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add the flour and stir to combine well. Spread evenly into a 13x9" sheet cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool completely and frost.

Frosting: Whisk together all ingredients and spread over bars.
