Texas Sheet cake


 




All What You Need ::


°2 cups all-purpose flour

°2 cups of sugar

°1/4 tsp salt

°4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

°1 cup butter

°1 cup of water

°1/2 cup buttermilk

°2 eggs

°1 teaspoon baking soda

°1 teaspoon vanilla extract

+Icing:

°1/2 cup butter

°4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

°6 tablespoons of milk

°1 teaspoon vanilla extract

°3 cups powdered sugar

°3/4 cup pecans (chopped)

How To Make It ::


Preheat oven 350 degrees. Prepare a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
Mix flour, sugar and salt. Reserve for later.
In a saucepan, melt the butter with the unsweetened cocoa powder and once melted, add the water and bring to a boil, then remove from the heat.
Add the melted butter mixture to your flour mixture and mix until just combined.
In a bowl, whisk the buttermilk with the egg, baking soda and vanilla. Then add to your other mixture and mix together. Add it to your griddle and bake for 20 minutes or until cooked through.

+Icing:

Melt the butter and whisk in the milk and unsweetened cocoa powder. Bring to a boil then remove from heat. Incorporate the vanilla extract.
Add the powdered sugar and mix until combined. Add the chopped pecans last.
Pour over hot cake and let cool before serving.
