Easy Homemade Naan Bread

🥖🍞 Easy Homemade Naan Bread – Soft, pillowy, and perfect for scooping up curries, this Naan Bread recipe is easy to make and absolutely delicious! Great with garlic butter or fresh herbs. 🍽️✨

Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 cup plain yogurt
2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
1/4 cup warm water (as needed)
For Garlic Butter (Optional):

2 tbsp melted butter
1 clove garlic (minced)
Fresh parsley or cilantro (chopped)

Directions :

1. Make the Dough:
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder. Add yogurt and olive oil (or melted butter), and mix until the dough begins to come together. Gradually add warm water, a little at a time, until the dough is soft and smooth. Knead for about 5 minutes.

2. Let it Rest:
Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15-20 minutes to make it easier to roll.

3. Divide and Roll:
Divide the dough into 6-8 equal portions. Roll each piece into a ball, then flatten and roll out each ball into an oval shape, about 1/4-inch thick.

4. Cook the Naan:
Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Place a rolled-out naan on the skillet and cook until bubbles form on the surface (about 1-2 minutes). Flip and cook the other side until golden brown spots appear. Repeat with the remaining dough.

5. Garlic Butter (Optional):
Mix melted butter with minced garlic and brush over each naan as it comes off the skillet. Sprinkle with fresh parsley or cilantro if desired.

This Easy Naan Bread is soft, flavorful, and a perfect side for curries or dipping in sauces! 😋🥖
